1. 再见[zàijiàn]

“再见” is a phrase that you often use to say goodbye. 再 means again, 见 means to see. 再见literally means see you again. But you can still use 再见 even if you and someone are not going to see each other again.

We often use a time word plus 见 to indicate that we will meet again in the near future.
